From what it seems, JLL will be implementing 170 acres to construct retail offices, hospitality, health care offices, and free petting zoos (wait, I don't think that last one's right).
The property is evidently adjacent to the Boulders Office Park, Chippenham Hospital, and The Shops at Stratford Hill (timesdispatch).
It's good to see this bit of land being put to some use, even if it means perpetual construction along Chippenham and Powhite for the next few years. The number one nuisance when driving down the interstate (other than slow drivers) is construction. What locals can definitely expect from from this new development will be increased traffic and activity within the Chippenham and Powhite areas due to construction. While this may be a slight inconvenience, the thing to keep in mind is that the benefits should hopefully be worthwhile even if the process takes years.
The best advice I can give is that drivers should be wary and cautious when driving down Chippenham or Powhite within the upcoming months. Construction may not start for some time, but the plan is being developed.
